Nephra — Kidney Disease & Dialysis Tracker

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version

  • • Your entries belong to you. In guest mode they never leave your device.
  • • With an account, your entries are stored privately so they follow you across devices.
  • • We never sell your information and we show no advertising.
  • • Food photos are used only to estimate nutrition and are never saved.
  • • You can delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Nephra is a personal kidney health record app published by Priority Health Medical Service Ltd. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have.

What information the app handles

Entries you type in. Health readings (such as blood pressure, weight and lab results), dialysis session records, food and fluid entries, and the care details you set on the Settings screen (kidney stage, dialysis type, transplant status, dry weight, height).

Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address, your name if you give it, and a secure sign-in credential. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Basic service logs. Like most online services, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as request times and error messages) needed to keep the app working and secure.

Guest mode: your data stays on your device

If you use Nephra as a guest, every entry you make is stored only in your device's local storage. Guest data is not uploaded to our servers, is not linked to an email address, and is removed when you exit guest mode, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

Accounts: your data stays yours

When you sign in with an account, your entries are stored in our private cloud database so your record follows you if you change device. Access is protected by your sign-in, and information is sent over encrypted connections. Only you can see your entries. Our team does not read your health entries except where strictly needed to fix a problem you report to us.

Food photos and nutrition estimates

When you capture a meal photo or type a meal description, the image (reduced in size) or text is sent to an artificial-intelligence service that returns an estimate of the meal's sodium, potassium, phosphorus, protein and fluid content. Photos are used only for this estimate: they are never stored on our servers or in your record. Estimates are labelled in the app so you know they are approximate.

What we never do

  • • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • • We show no advertising and use no advertising trackers.
  • • We do not share your health entries with your clinic, employer or insurer through this app.
  • • We do not use your health entries to train artificial-intelligence models.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run Nephra: a hosting and database provider that stores account data, and an artificial-intelligence provider that returns nutrition estimates. They process information only on our instructions to deliver the service.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual entries in the app at any time. To delete everything:

  • • Guests: exit guest mode or uninstall the app — the device record is erased with it.
  • • Accounts: contact us at the email below and we will permanently delete your account and all stored entries.

Your choices and rights

You can view, correct and delete your entries inside the app. You can also ask us for a copy of the data linked to your account, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the email below. We respond to every request.

Children

Nephra is intended for adults managing kidney health. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, show a notice in the app.
